Took a trip to the Olympic Peninsula a year ago and am dying to go back. It is always amazing just how different the human experience can be based entirely on your surroundings. Experiencing wilderness so raw stirs some caveman DNA in your loins and really makes you feel completely different than you would in a sterile suburban environment. I read these stories of survival and living on the edge and compare them to the way many people choose to spend their time and it almost feels like two alternate realities. There is so much amazing shit in the world and the possibilities for adventure are endless. Someone said, "The story is unbelievably amazing, so you know it is based on a true story." Valid!
